Purley Hockey

Come and join us and play Hockey at Purley Sports Club.

The hockey section of Purley Sports Club is very welcoming to all ages and abilities. It is currently the fastest growing section of the sports club and has doubled its membership within the year.

The hockey section welcomes new players to the sport or those who are at different stages of their lives and require a more flexible commitment level or just looking to get back into the game. As a social section, we are often (always) found in the bar after Saturday matches reflecting on our glories and generally enjoying each other’s company.

Purley Hockey Club are proud to be represented by 3 teams; Men’s League team, Ladies League team and our Veteran’s team for the 2023/2024 season.

Our Men’s and Ladies league teams play on astro within a competitive league which see them play nearly 20 games a season. Our Veteran’s team play a mixture of games on both astro and on grass here at The Ridge

A family-friendly section, we are proud to offer the best hockey teas in the south and a welcome drink for players and their families, with thanks to Lucy’s Kitchen.

Hockey Blog

Inclusive Membership

Your hockey membership includes social membership. This allows you to use our comfortable bar area inside and patio area outside with views across our cricket field and grass tennis courts. Our drinks are very reasonably priced, we also have Happy Hour Monday to Thursday 4.30-6.00pm and we serve great food seven days a week. You can also enjoy Sky and BT sports and attend our regular functions and parties. You can bring friends and family along to the Club with no guest fees.

You can also play table tennis as part of your membership, paying only the court fees. We also offer pay & play squash, racketball and tennis with no further membership required.
