What is Padel?

Padel is an exciting racket sport played in doubles on a court a third of the size of a tennis court. Padel merges aspects of tennis and squash, using a solid, stringless racket and a pressurised ball.

Members Court Fees

Off-Peak courts – £3.50 per person per hour
Monday to Friday 9-4pm

Peak – £4.50 per person per hour
Monday to Friday 4-9pm and 9-9pm on weekends

Additional £1 per person per hour – floodlights

Racket Rental Fees

We have Tecnifibre rackets that are available to rent from £2.50 per hour.

How to Book a Court

To book a court, follow these steps:

Download the Playtomic App (links below) – available on both iOS and Android.
Register an Account – Sign up with your email address or through social login options.
Find Purley Sports Club – Tap “Book a court” then search for Purley Sports Club.
Select the Club and Choose your Time – Tap on our club, go to the “Book” section and select your preferred time slot.

Booking Access:

Members can book up to 10 days in advance
Non-members can book up to 4 days in advance

At Purley Sports Club we offer Padel coaching and training programmes designed for all levels. See our timetable below.

If you sign up for the block booking you get a 15% discount, so for a 6 week block it would be £76.50 instead of £90 for adults and instead of £78 for kids it would be £66.30.

How to Book

Head to your app store and download Playtomic (links below):
Once the app is downloaded and you have registered, use the search bar and type ‘Purley sports club’
Press ‘academy’ and then scroll down to the session you want to attend
Click on sign up and follow the payment instructions
You’re all set, we’ll see you on the court!

Groundstrokes	Basic forehand technique with many errors. Struggles with backhand and shot variety. Can only manage very short rallies.	Basic forehand and backhand technique with fewer errors, enabling longer rallies.	Basic groundstrokes with minimal errors. Attempts to vary placement, power, and spin, but results are inconsistent.
